Eric Laing

Director

Eric joined the company in 2002, with 39 years of oilfield experience in Drilling, completions and  production optimization. Mr. Laing started his career with Shell (North Sea) before joining Otis Engineering (A Halliburton company). During his time with Otis Mr. Laing worked in field positions in the North Sea, USA and South East Asia for seven years. He also completed an assignment in Australia with Cudd Pressure Control. After completing international assignments he returned to Canada to form his own oilfield supply company. That company was amalgamated with Endiem Oil Tools and in turn merged with Site Oil Tools. During his time with Site Oil he held the position of Domestic Sales Manager and International Sales Manager. After leaving Site Oil Tools, Mr. Laing was a founding member of Secure Oil Tools. Eric held the position of Domestic and International Sales Manager until the sale of the Secure Oil Tools division to Schlumberger. Mr. Laing then spent from 1999-2002  at Schlumberger as Global Business Development Manager for Multi-Lateral Systems to transition the Secure product line into the Schlumberger organization. Mr. Laing joined Stellarton, now Raise Production in 2002. Mr. Laing is now President and CEO of Raise Production Inc.

Ken Zinger

Director

Mr. Ken Zinger is the Chief Operating Officer of Canadian Energy Services & Technology Corporation, Mr. Zinger has over 30 years of experience in the Canadian oilfield services industry.  Mr. Zinger started his career working in the field on drilling rigs for nine years before joining Protec Mud Services as a Drilling Fluids Field Technician for four years. Mr. Zinger then moved to Calgary as a Technical Sales Representative for Newpark Canada for three years. Following this, he was one of the founders and  President of Impact Fluid Systems since its incorporation in 2001. In March 2006, Impact was one of two private drilling fluids businesses acquired by CEU and Mr. Zinger became the Chief Operating Officer. He remains in this position today.

Dell Chapman

Director

Mr. Dell Chapman is an Independent Businessman who is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Financial Analyst with more than 30 years of oil and gas production and service company experience. Most recently, Dell has been Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Equal Energy Ltd. from September 2010 to July 2013. Prior to joining Equal Energy, Dell had been the Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Berens Energy Ltd., a TSX-listed company, from its inception in 2003 until its sale in 2010. Before Berens, Mr. Chapman was Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer with Technicoil Corporation, and before that he was in the same role with Stellarton Energy Corporation. Previously, Mr. Chapman had also been a Manager of Finance at Suncor, and, from 1986 until 1995, was in various increasing senior financial roles with Gulf Canada Resources. Mr. Chapman graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and received his Chartered Accountant designation in 1985 and his Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1990.

Warren Steckley

Director

Mr. Steckley is an independent businessman and has more than 39 years of oil and gas industry experience with technical, financial and investment expertise.  For 15 years, Mr. Steckley was the President, Chief Operating Officer and a Director of Barnwell of Canada Limited, an oil and gas company owned by Barnwell Industries Inc., a public company listed on the American Stock Exchange.  Prior to that, he was an executive of a private company for four years.  In addition to the Raise Board, Mr. Steckley currently serves as a Director of Eagle Energy Inc. and was a previous Director of Twin Butte Energy Inc., both TSX listed companies.  Mr. Steckley has a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Alberta and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Alberta.

Thomas Kehoe, CFA

Director

Mr. Thomas Kehoe is currently the Chairman of Abiwin Ventures Limited, a private investment company with interests in technology, healthcare and energy. Prior to Abiwin, he spent 25 years in Investment Banking, most recently as Director, Institutional Trading for GMP Securities, one of Canada's leading independent financial services firms. Mr. Kehoe has two decades of experience in the energy industry, working for fims including Citibank, UBS, Peters and Co, Credit Suisse and Scotiabank.  He has been a member of Canada's top ranked Energy Research team, the top block trader on the TSX and has been responsible for running a proprietary long/short hedge fund with assets in excess of $500 million. Mr. Kehoe currently sits on the Board of the Thurder Bay Regional Health Research Institute and is Chair of the Commercialization Committee and also serves on the Board of XLV Diagnostics. Mr. Kehoe received his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto in 1991 and his Masters of Business Administration from York University in 1994. He was awarded his Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1997. Mr. Kehoe currently resides in Toronto, Ontario.

Dan Newman

Director

Mr. Dan Newman is currently the CEO of Endurance Lift Holdings, a privately held group of companies focused on the Up Stream oil and gas service sector. Dan has more than 40 years of global experience in the oil and gas sectors, including up stream, mid stream and down stream. He began his career with Halliburton where he held increasingly responsible positions in manufacturing, engineering,  and global operations management over 24 years. He then worked for Exterran as EVP over Global Engineering and Supply Chain for compression, production and critical processing equipment. Prior to his current role with Endurance Lift Holdings, Dan was President over Dover’s Artificial Lift business which was recently spun off from Dover as its own publicly traded entity.

Rick McHardy

Director

Mr. McHardy has been a founder of several public companies and has extensive experience in leadership positions with over 24 years' experience in all aspects of securities and mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. McHardy has been instrumental in a number of significant transactions including: (i) a founder and the President and Chief Executive Officer of Spartan Energy Corp. ("Spartan") from December 10, 2013 to May 28, 2018, when it was acquired for approximately $1.4 billion by Vermilion Energy Inc.; (ii) a co-founder and the President and Chief Executive Officer of Spartan Oil Corp. ("Spartan Oil") from March 2011 to January 2013 when it completed a business combination with Bonterra Energy Corp. for a total transaction value of approximately $480 million; (iii) a co-founder and the President and Chief Executive Officer of Spartan Exploration Ltd. ("Spartan Exploration"), from January 2008 to June 2011 when it completed an arrangement with a public senior oil and gas company in a transaction valued at approximately $244 million; and (iv) a founder and the President of Titan Exploration Ltd. prior to its acquisition by Canetic Resources Trust for approximately $116 million. Mr. McHardy has served as corporate secretary for a number of public companies and was a partner at McCarthy Tétrault LLP, where he practiced securities and corporate law.

Al Stark

Director

Mr. Stark was a founder and Vice President Operations of Spartan from December 10, 2013 until the sale to Vermilion Energy Inc. on May 28, 2018 for approximately $1.4 billion. He was also a founder and Vice President Operations of Spartan Oil and Spartan Exploration through to their successful sale transactions.   He was also a founder and V.P. Engineering and Operations and Chief Operating Officer of Titan Exploration Ltd. until its acquisition by Cantetic Resources Trust. Mr. Stark holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering. He has over 29 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. His experience includes roles in Production, Reservoir and Exploitation Engineering as well as Drilling, Completions and Field Operations. His early career was with Amoco Canada Corp., Northstar Energy Corp. and Devon Canada Corp.
